Neck, Low Back and Joint Pain
Lower extremity pain is based on presence of pain in the hips, knees, or feet. Participants are first asked if they have experienced pain or aching in any joints on most days for at least one month in the past year. Those who answer affirmatively are then asked about location of pain. Reports of hip pain, knee pain, or foot pain are coded as presence of lower extremity pain.
