Welcome to the Omics Heatmap. This tool helps researchers explore Omics datasets produced from RADC biospecimens that are currently available for browsing and download on the AMP-AD Knowledge Portal.
With the Heatmap, you can specify Omics technology and participant criteria to find and compare datasets.
The page starts with a full heatmap, a grid of cells showing the number of RADC study participants that fall under the combination of the cell's row and column criteria options. These criteria options are grouped into categories that can be selected for viewing with the two dropdown menus above the Heatmap.
Furthermore, the heatmap can be focused by toggling specific criteria within their categories in the dropdown menus to the left of the heatmap. Each selectable option shows a count of participants that can be added to the Heatmap view. The currently selected options are displayed in the left box above the heatmap.
Once criteria options have been selected, up to seven individual non-zero heatmap cells can be toggled to pick their option combination for viewing additional information. The currently picked options are displayed in the right box above the heatmap.
The information views are shown when the context-sensitive view button to the right of the Heatmap view button.
The available views are:
- Zero or one picks: List table
- Two to four picks: Venn diagram
- Five to seven picks: UpSet plot
The list table shows information about individual AMP-AD datasets and links to them on Synapse.org. Accessing these links may require a Synapse account.
The Venn diagram shows participant overlap between picked criteria options for a small number of combinations.
The UpSet plot shows participant overlap between picked criteria options for a larger number of combinations, limited to the fifteen highest participant count.
At any time, clicking the Heatmap view button returns the page to the heatmap view.
