Surgical cause of menopause - other
Cause of menopause: Other surgical procedure

Other surgical cause of menopause is reported at baseline. Female participants are first asked about the cause of menopause. Those who respond that their menopause was caused by surgery are asked about the type of surgery. Participants who respond "other" (i.e., neither full nor partial hysterectomy), are asked to elaborate:

  1. Was your menopause natural or caused by surgery?
  2. What was the surgery?
  3. Specify. [Type of surgery]
