Create BRAIN-ICU-2 Biospecimen Request
Following the COVID-19 outbreak, a supplemental grant was obtained to apply the BRAIN-ICU-2 protocols to individuals admitted at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. As of Dec 2020, 19 participants with COVID-19 have have donated brain and brainstem tissue for research and sharing through the RADC Data and Biospecimen Repository. The tissue is all fixed in formalin; no frozen tissue is available.
Clinical and demographic data collected through study participation is available.
The application process is implemented through a web-based form. As each page is completed the form is saved. Any page can be updated at any time before the form is submitted.
From this point on, the web system will direct the next steps. The system will send updates to email address of primary investigator. You may want to consider using the address of another staff member who will be in charge of tracking progress.
Committee - Your request will be reviewed by the RADC Resource Distribution Committee
