Driving frequency
Days driven in a typical week

Driving frequency is based on self-report. Participants are first asked if they are licensed to drive. Those who respond affirmatively are then asked if they have driven in the past 12 months. Participants who respond affirmatively to both questions are then asked about frequency of driving.

Participants are asked the following questions:

  1. Are you currently licensed to drive?
  2. Have you driven in the past 12 months?
  3. Approximately how many days during a typical week are you likely to drive?

Response choices for question #3:

Value Response
1 6 or 7 days
2 3 to 5 days
3 1 or 2 days
4 Less than once per week

Baseline only: MAP, MARS, LATC
Longitudinal: AACORE, CEDHA
