Vascular inflammation (3 items) is a composite measure of vascular inflammation based on levels of interleukin-6 receptor, matrix metallopeptidase-9, and vascular cell adhesion molecule measured from blood samples. See the inflammatory markers subcategory description for more information. This variable is the mean of the log transformed values of the 3 inflammatory markers.
